- Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation of Nigeria: the Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation of Nigeria (ABBFN) is a body that oversees and controls the activities of bodybuilding in Nigeria. it was established in 2009, his bodybuilding competition was conducted for the first time in Nigeria on the 28th day of September 2011 at Rockview Hotels Apapa, Lagos. - Badminton Federation of Nigeria: the Badminton Federation of Nigeria is the national association that governs and manages the affairs relating to badminton sports in Nigeria. It was established in the year 1998. The headquarter is at National Stadium, Package B, Abuja, FCT Nigeria. Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are “singles” (with one player per side) and “doubles” (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side’s half of the court.
- Cycling Federation of Nigeria: The Cycling Federation of Nigeria is a national governing body of cycle racing in Nigeria empowered by the Federal Government to govern and promote cycling as a sport in Nigeria. Cycling in Nigeria started as a sporting activity in the year 1972 and has been established over the years to be a major and award-winning game in Nigeria. It is among the oldest in terms of sporting activities and events in Nigeria. During the past years, the sport was used for leisure and other recreational activities. The headquarter is at The Velodrome Complex, National Sports Commission, National Stadium, Kubwa, and Abuja Nigeria. The body responsible for Cycling is Nigeria Amateur Cycling Association, the association oversees the activities of the sports in Nigeria in the early 70s. This body supersedes and gains control over other bodies created in the four regions in Nigeria which is the Northern, Western, Mid-Western, and Eastern regions. It was introduced to the country as of the early days of colonialism and was not so common as many people do not own a bicycle and there wasn’t sponsorship from the government to the sports federation. Nigeria organized her first Cycling competition from the 18th to 24th of November 1973. The first coaching course of the sport was held in Kaduna.
- Karate Federation of Nigeria: Karate is a combat sport using the hands and feet to deliver and block blows. It is an act of self-defense that originated from the Japanese in which people fight using their arms, legs, hands, and feet and which was incorporated into Nigeria sports after the federation was formed. The word karate is made up of two Japanese characters (Kara meaning empty and Te meaning hand) which imply empty hand. It is one of the best forms of martial arts practiced in the world today because it focuses on character, respect, and determination, it is also regarded as a fighting technique used to conquer oneself using punching and kicking as a major strike.
